Richard commissioned Magic fan-favorite artist Drew Tucker to create the illustration for Phoenix Heart. Drew’s painting depicts Richard and Koni in battle together under a phoenix-heart-sun-filled sky. As a gesture of appreciation Richard gave Drew two copies of the Phoenix Heart card. In 2024, Drew created a reproduction of his painting on the back of each card, autographing and numbering each one.
The uniqueness of these artist copies and the human touch added by Drew’s vibrant painting make these two cards the most highly coveted celebration cards of all.
